Ann H. Hughes has been an English teacher; a student of human potential, astrology, tarot and shamanism; an apprentice to The Cycle of Transformation; a mother; an advocate for Open Adoption Records and adoption healing; a birth doula; a choral singer; an African drummer; a nature lover and river runner; a knitter, beader and crafts person.

She is currently a book publisher, author, public speaker, grandmother, Mage of the Cycle of Transformation, Life Coach, SoulCollage® facilitator, creator of power objects and a student of shamanic drumming and sound healing. Ann has been helping people self-publish books since 1975. Formerly at Gateway Press for many years, she now works with people through her own company, Otter Bay Books, LLC. She is also the founder of The Ace of Flames and the facilitator of Dragon’s SoulCollage® Circle.

Ann’s passion is supporting people as they face their fears and choose to follow their hearts. She is awe-struck by the magical way in which using “creative process” always opens up a channel for Spirit help, personal growth and healing. Her work is to create a safe space for people to find this channel for and in themselves – and to coach them as they learn to open it with ease and use it with joy.
